Set in the turbulent mid-20th century, follows a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers, smugglers, and adventurers led by the sharp-witted Sima Hui. Stranded in the savage borderlands of Myanmar, they are coerced into joining a secret expedition to hunt for hidden ancient relics and lost underground civilizations.
What begins as a treasure hunt quickly turns into a nightmare of survival and cosmic terror. The team ventures into fog-shrouded forbidden mountains, sunken ancient cities, the barren wasteland of Lop Nur, and the primeval depths of Shennongjia. They face monstrous beasts, unnatural weather, time distortions, cursed ruins, and the traces of a long-erased prehistoric snake-worshipping civilization.
