Chapter 8: I’m worried

After the events of that night, both Thian and Mangkon acted as if nothing had happened. Neither of them opened their mouths or took the initiative to bring it up, as if it had never actually happened.

Mangkon could only repeatedly tell himself that he was just drunk and it wasn’t a big deal. It was just two men helping each other finish, nothing more.

If that crazy Inspector hadn’t kissed him.

If he were asked if it felt good, he could say that it very much did. The taste of the kiss still lingered warmly in his senses. What kind of crazy person was such a good kisser? Just a few seconds was enough to make him swoon easily. Someone who hadn’t been in love or had anything like that for a long time, just a kiss was enough to make his heart flutter and grow weak.

He tried to act as normal as possible, living his life as usual. But since that day, his heart had become so resistant to his mind, that he Didn’t want to speak to him.

“Nong Mangkon, you’re here so early today, dear.”

The soft, gentle voice of Khunying Pharada rang out when she saw her beloved daughter-in-law hurrying out of the house. Mangkon stopped immediately.

“Why didn’t you go with Gear, dear?” The one who was trying to act like he had nothing to hide hastily used the little brain cells he had to find an excuse.

“Errr… I have to stop somewhere around there first, so I didn’t want to bother Inspector.” “It’s no bother. Let him drop you off.”

“It’s alright. I’ll go first, Madam.”

“Mother! You’re Gear’s wife, you should call mother instead name darling.” “Y-Yes, Mother. I’ll be going now.”

At the words, The police officer chopped his foot and stride to the motercycle, Saying he was not going to run or avoid him. But what he was doing then was called ‘Avoiding’.

On Thian’s side, it seemed like he woke up later than his alarm clock today. As soon as he got out of bed, he immediately realized that someone had run away “again.” This wasn’t the first time anyway.

The fact that things have been empty next to him for many days is something he understand. However much you run away, you’ll still have to see each other

No matter how much you run or hide, you couldn’t escape.

The handsome face broke into a small smile. Just thinking about the pretty face that liked to look flustered made him feel inexplicably better.

In that incident, Mangkon wasn’t the only one who had changed. Thian also… “Ahh…”

“Damn it.”

Images and moans from the screen of an expensive phone showed two men deeply entangled with each other. Thian just wanted to know how he would feel if he watched these clips. And of course, he had them readily available. His erect member was being stroked as his sharp eyes watched the clip.

He could also pleasure himself by watching gay couple videos, but for some reason now, he thought the bottom in the clip didn’t have a good body shape like Mangkon at all.

Thian stopped thinking. He was being so psychotic.

After finishing taking care of himself, it was time to head to work as usual. But before he could even take a step out of the house, his mother stopped him.

“Gear dear.”

“Yes, Mother,” Thian paused and turned to reply. “Did you and Nong Mangkon have a fight?”

“No, Mother. We didn’t fight.”

“Then why aren’t you going to work together in the morning?” This was very unusual, and besides, she rarely sees her son and daughter in law spending time togther two of alone

“We really didn’t fight, Mother. I’ll go to work first. There’s a meeting today.” Did they really have a fight?

The one who wasn’t supposed to be overthinking was now preoccupied with that question. They didn’t fight at all. There wasn’t even a single argument. There was only moaning…

Ahh, Thian, you should stop it now.

The inappropriate thoughts that kept popping into his head were quickly shaken off, and he stepped on the accelerator, speeding up.

Today there was a big meeting regarding the “Black Bull Gang” case, and the one who was the captain of this mission would be none other than Thian. Mangkon was selected to participate as well.

In the large meeting room, amidst the back-and-forth bickering between two young captains, a verbal confrontation took place between Police Captain Nadol Sitprasert, the captain of Chiang Mai and Police Captain Kanin Sriprasom, the new captain from Chiang Rai. One was speaking provocatively, while the other responded politely, causing one of the subordinates, almost the youngest, to shake his head, unable to stop them.

“I was just suggesting what kind of hairstyle you should have.” “My hair is my hair. Why are you interfering?”

“I’m just offering a suggestion, man.”

“Thanks, but I’d rather you didn’t in the future.”

And then the squabble came to an abrupt halt when Police Major Thian arrived. The entire room fell silent, and everyone rose to pay their respects according to custom. But it seemed his sharp eyes were surreptitiously glancing at his wife before anyone else.

“Alright everyone, sit down.”

“Everyone probably knows what I’m calling this meeting about today. The chief inspector has assigned me to oversee this mission. And before we get started, I want to say that I’m very glad that Captain Kanin will be joining us.”

Kanin raised his eyebrows and smiled slightly at Nadol before formally introducing himself. Everyone here knows the face of this captain who is known as a casanova second only to Inspector Thian.

“Pleased to work with you, especially with you Nadol.” “You!”

“Alright, alright, enough.”

Thian cut them off and began to broach the topic of capturing the Black Bull Gang, which was difficult to define in terms of what laws they were breaking because there were so many.

“Firstly, they’re dealing drugs, as everyone knows.”

“But I received reports from our informants that they are smuggling Buddhist statues, as well as rare artifacts.”

“Most recently, they imported fake diamonds and gold to sell.”

Thian said in a serious tone, projecting a slide onto a large projector screen. This meeting would lead to an arrest that would take place soon.

“Our informants reported that they will move the goods to a warehouse on the outskirts of town at 3 AM tomorrow night. Therefore, we will move in tomorrow.”

“Is that too urgent, Inspector Thian?” Kanin quipped. “My informants just reported it, Captain.”

“I rushed here thinking what? Going to arrest the criminals,”

“The boss still hasn’t fooled around with women, Thian, so Mangkon why dont you take me out tonight?”

Kanin turned back to look at the junior Police Officer who was quite close to him and stared at him with love and as a result the Police major said sternly

“Listen to me first, don’t be playful Kanin”

He knew what this junior officer was like. He was just as skilled as the one who hadn’t become an inspector yet because he had entered school early, and was only thirty years old. Although he was younger, they were close friends who had studied together.

“Oh, I just wanted to invite Nong Mangkon out.”

The phrase about inviting Mangkon out was said again. But! Keep dreaming to your self.

“Just teasing a little bit.” “Stop it, Kanin.”

“Yes, I’m scared now. How scary whoever gets to be your husband!” Kanin still wouldn’t stop teasing, but the laughter quieted down before Thian adjusted his voice to be more serious.

The map was projected onto the large board, with names written on each area, and Thian began to explain.

“This warehouse has two main entrances and exits: the front door and the back door. Information from informants indicates that they often use the back door to move goods because it’s a spot away from people’s eyes.”

Mangkon’s round eyes followed the map intently before asking, “Will they have guards around the warehouse as well?”

“Definitely. Our informants say there are about three to four guards stationed around the perimeter. But they don’t have heavy weapons; mostly just pistols or batons. We can handle them if we’re not careless.”

“And what will the inspector do?” Nadol asked.

“I’ll have our team divided into two parts. The first team will go inside, and the second team will stay outside to control the situation and provide support.”

As if this plan had been considered in advance, the thick hand moved the laser pointer to a point on the map. Using too many people would make them realize it. The Black Bull Gang, although not scary at red alert levels, the size of its members could not be underestimated.

“The first team is me and Mangkon. We’ll disguise ourselves as transport workers and go into the warehouse ahead of time to scout and gather evidence of what illegal goods they’re transporting.”

“This inspector is so thorough. Why don’t you let me and Nong Mangkon go?” Kanin couldn’t stop, until he was stared at by his sharp eyes once again.

“I am already going in with Mangkon.”

“As for the second team, Captain Kanin and Captain Nadol will be stationed outside, about five hundred meters away from the warehouse.”

“You both must keep an eye on movements around the warehouse. If anything unusual happens or an emergency occurs, you must clear it immediately.”

“I’ll be ready at all times. The inspector doesn’t have to worry about it.” Nadol nodded in agreement.

“In that case, I need to go to bed early tonight so I can wake up and work to the fullest.” The playful guy still wouldn’t stop, but then had to give up immediately when cheered to do so was stared at, coming for the third time.

I think that I made a mistake in including him.

Finally, the whole plan was summarized: Thian and Mangkon would be inside the warehouse around 2:30 AM to prepare to deliver the goods to them, and to collect all the evidence inside. But if there were any problems, they would signal the outside team to help

“I know it’s not difficult, but if we mess up, they might run away with important evidence, and we’ll lose the opportunity to get to the root of the problem.”

Everyone in the room nodded in understanding and did not look worried, before leaving the meeting room.

But…while Captain Kanin and Captain Nadol walked out, the last person left was Mangkon, who was about to step out of the room, but was held back by a low voice.

“Mangkon.” “Y-Yes?”

The smaller man was at a loss, slowly turning to look at the person he did intend to avoid. But what could he do? Because he lived in the same house and worked together, he would have to see him inevitably.

“You’re rushing to work these days?” “Oh, a little bit.”

“Actually, you could come with me, you know. Save on gas.” “Maybe we won’t be heading back at the same time…”

“I can wait for you. Just tell me.”

The gentle, round face showed a look of slight confusion at those words. Normally, the inspector often had meetings or missions outside, sometimes not returning to the police station at all, or it was Mangkon who had to stay and help with work until the evening.

“It’s okay.” The younger man offered a small smile before preparing to step away again. However…

Someone was a step quicker. At that moment, Thian felt a little annoyed at being refused, so he quickly used his clever brain to find an excuse immediately.

“I have a duty to pick you up and drop you off anyway. Otherwise, my mom will scold me.” “Um…”

“Don’t say anymore. Let’s go get ready for tomorrow.” “Yes.”

Even though he said to go and get ready, the small wrist was still held tightly. Light brown eyes looked up to meet the dark obsidian eyes in confusion. It was as if something was swirling in both of their hearts, before the handsome inspector adjusted his face to be calm and composed but in a way that his eyes clearly conveyed concern.

“Tomorrow… be careful.” “Y-Yes.”

“I’m worried.”
