Mr. Dior : Chapter 15

Jiao Qi had already looked through the photo album before, but looking at it alone felt completely different from looking at it with someone else, especially when he could beat up the photographer while looking at it.

The two of them lay side by side on the master bedroom’s big bed, going through the photos one by one.

Some of them were actually quite good. Little Jiao Yan wearing a white dress shirt, standing under a lush, green camphor tree, looking up at the little orange cat crouching on a branch. The sunlight gilded both him and the cat in gold, like a prince meeting a little fairy in a fairy tale.

Some were clearly taken in a hurry as secret shots. On the basketball court, he was running so fast that Jiao Qi had turned into a complete blur. On the sidelines stood many girls, cheering with flushed cheeks.

The next photo was of a girl holding a bottle of mineral water, offering it to Jiao Qi during halftime, only to be waved away by him. The girl’s face was covered with a pig head drawn in marker, so her original appearance couldn’t be seen.

“Why did you draw her as a pig?”

“She was too ugly. Every time I looked at it, it hurt my eyes, so I covered it up.” Zhang Chenfei said with perfect confidence.

Jiao Qi glanced at him sideways, not quite believing it. “Phones weren’t allowed at school. How did you take these?”

As a good-for-nothing street thug, it wasn’t just phones. Back then, Zhang Chenfei’s desk drawer had everything, cameras, phones, game consoles.

“I’m a bad student,” Zhang Chenfei buried his face into the pillow in a resigned manner. “You first-place students wouldn’t understand. I even skipped class and climbed over walls to go play games.”

Jiao Qi reached out and ruffled that fluffy head, finding it hard to connect this Q University graduate with the thug who skipped class and got into fights. “How come I never saw you in high school?”

A guy as handsome and tall as Zhang Chenfei should have been pretty famous in high school.

“I was completely different in high school from how I am now.” Back then, his mother was gone, and that father who was as good as absent was never home. The boy with no one to look after him was sloppy and unkempt, not from the same world as the little prince under the camphor tree at all.

Thinking about Zhang Diao’s family situation, Jiao Qi instantly understood the unspoken words. He shifted his body and lay on Zhang Chenfei’s back. “So our blind date was also arranged by you?”

At that time, Jiao Qi had just returned to the country not long ago. Same-sex marriage had been legalized, so he took the opportunity to make things clear with his family that he liked men. Father Jiao had initially wanted to break his legs, but was stopped by Mother Jiao who was crying up a storm.

Mr. Jiao Zuoren, an old fossil from the last century, stubbornly believed that men who liked men led messy private lives. In the end, he compromised on the condition that as long as Jiao Qi went on blind dates and found a proper man to marry, and didn’t fool around, he would no longer object. So the young Master Jiao, who had just graduated from university, was forced into the blind date market.

When Zhang Chenfei learned that his male god had returned to the country, he designed three perfect, flawless pursuit plans. But plans couldn’t keep up with changes. When he saw Li Yingjun having a blind date with Jiao Qi at the coffee shop, he nearly rushed over to punch his lights out.

“Don’t laugh!” Feeling the guy lying on his back trembling, Zhang Chenfei unhappily flipped him over and said fiercely, “Laugh again and I’ll kiss you.”

He had originally planned to tell Jiao Qi about this when they were both old and gray. Now this was great, he was going to be laughed at for the rest of his life.

Jiao Qi couldn’t stop laughing, and was silenced by his husband who was angry from embarrassment.

After fooling around for quite a while, Jiao Qi finally remembered the serious matter. “This time the situation seems more serious. You don’t even remember your own name anymore. If it keeps developing like this, it’ll affect normal life. We can’t delay any longer. Let’s go to America and get it checked out.”

The smart device’s internal settings were made of nanomaterials and basically couldn’t be removed. Forcibly extracting it would require surgery. Unless absolutely necessary, they still hoped to treat it through other methods.

“Actually, I do remember.” Zhang Chenfei said softly.

“Hmm?”

This plot was too embarrassing to describe. The CEO pulled the quilt over his head and said in a muffled voice, “He knows he’s the poor boy Zhang Chenfei.”

Zhang Diao stubbornly believed that the person caught up in the script wasn’t him.

Because he didn’t want the little substitute to know he was the poor boy Zhang Chenfei, he signed as Dior when he went there. So only those dozen or so documents were signed wrong. Before his little wife arrived and after he left, everything he signed was fine.

The two of them had somehow managed to turn their relationship into a love square. That was how twisted it was, that was how deeply entangled and tragic their love was.

Jiao Qi was speechless. Facts proved that you shouldn’t give yourself random nicknames for no reason.

The next morning, Jiao Qi opened his eyes and saw his husband hugging him while reading the news on his smart device. He asked uncertainly, “What’s your name?”

Zhang Chenfei laughed. “Baby, it’s me. No script today.”

Seeing his little wife’s greatly relieved expression, he couldn’t help leaning over to kiss him. Causing so much trouble, he was definitely going to sue that smart device manufacturer until they went bankrupt!

He drove his little wife to work. On the way, Jiao Qi told Zhang Chenfei about terminating the contract with “Conscience Fed to the Dogs” and Banana.

“He went to another streaming platform. The endorsement deal for Stone Fei has already been sent to you guys in a formal letter.”

“It’s all our family’s business. You can give the endorsement to whoever you want.”

The completely unprincipled CEO had just arrived at Stone Fei Technology when he received a call from an unknown number.

“CEO Zhang, I’m streamer ‘Conscience Fed to the Dogs.’ About the new game’s endorsement, I’d like to have a word with you.” On the other end of the line was Gou Xin.

“There’s no need to talk to me about this kind of thing. Have your company contact the advertising department.” Zhang Chenfei didn’t want to waste time.

“I terminated my contract with Banana. Because of CEO Jiao’s involvement, I assume Stone Fei won’t be giving me this endorsement anymore. But I have a little something in my hands. I’ll send it to you to listen to. Maybe you’ll be willing to reconsider me.” Gou Xin said, and sent over an audio file.

“What’s there to say? He’s just a substitute!”

“No way? You’re treating the Jiao family’s young master as a substitute?”

The familiar voices were exactly the conversation he and Gao Shiqing had in the corner at the cold buffet party that day.

“I only hope this endorsement can be given to me. Trading this recording for an endorsement that should have been mine in the first place, that’s not a bad deal, right?” Gou Xin was quite confident. This endorsement was extremely valuable and also very helpful for raising his personal fame. His current platform didn’t have the ability to fight for it for him, so he could only rely on himself.

“…” The CEO didn’t know what to say. Was this a threat?

“If CEO Jiao finds out about this, or if I play it during a stream, your losses would be far more than just an endorsement.” Although Sunlight Real Estate was on the decline, a lean camel is still bigger than a horse. The Jiao family was still a proper wealthy family. Presumably, Zhang Chenfei wouldn’t want to lose such in-laws.

“Heh,” Zhang Chenfei held his forehead and sneered, “Kid, don’t think too highly of yourself. In this world where the strong are respected, crushing you is easier than crushing an ant!”

The cold, cruel tone was like the dark demon king in a game, completely out of place with the real world, yet unexpectedly full of intimidating power. Gou Xin was stunned on the other end for quite a while, then checked the phone number. It was definitely Zhang Chenfei he had called.

Wasn’t Zhang Chenfei supposed to be good-tempered and afraid of his wife? Where did this terrifying warlord-like aura come from?

As the sun set, Jiao Qi walked out of the Banana building and saw a black Maybach parked by the roadside. Its imposing presence made people around him turn their heads repeatedly.

“Is this car fixed?” Jiao Qi walked over. The driver’s side window slowly rolled down, revealing Zhang Chenfei wearing sunglasses. “It’s already dark out. Why are you still wearing sunglasses?”

The CEO looked at him, opened the door, and got out. He stylishly took off his sunglasses, made an elegant gentleman’s bow, and carefully took Jiao Qi’s hand. “It’s too dangerous for you to walk alone. Next time, wait for me to come up and get you.”

“Huh?” Jiao Qi looked around. In front of Banana was a small plaza, bustling with people and no vehicles allowed. “What’s dangerous about this?”

“Poor little thing, you simply don’t understand how fatally attractive you are to others!” The CEO sighed helplessly. Seeing people frequently looking this way, he immediately became alert, quickly stuffed his little wife into the passenger seat, and buckled his seatbelt for him.

A faint fragrance came from Jiao Qi. It was his usual perfume, L’Artisan Passage d’Enfer, a tropical rainforest grass scent, thick with the smell of books.

Zhang Chenfei couldn’t help taking a deep sniff at the side of his neck, seemingly quite intoxicated. “What a sweet pheromone. Your father was right. You are a pure-blooded Omega. You will definitely give birth to the strongest child for me.”

What?

Jiao Qi was completely baffled. He knew this guy had probably entered some new script again, but the problem was, was he even speaking human language? He could understand every single word, but put together, it made no sense. What Omega, what bloodline, what child?

Wasn’t this supposed to be a CEO novel?
