Mr. Dior : Chapter 16
The CEO looked at his little wife with her eyes wide and round, realizing that he had somewhat frightened him.
Omegas really are fragile creatures, Zhang Chenfei thought with some distress. He was used to interacting with powerful Alphas on a daily basis, and suddenly having an Omega little wife was like being asked to practice boxing while holding a piece of tofu. He simply had no idea how to proceed.
He sat back in the driver’s seat. The lingering scent of Chinese sweet gum and rattan in his nose made his mind wander, and he couldn’t help but sneak a glance at the little creature in the passenger seat. His fair skin was like a peeled boiled egg, and it must taste absolutely wonderful. His slender little frame was exactly one size smaller than his own, and would surely feel especially comfortable held in his arms.
Precious Omegas, with their fragile stomachs, were as rare as pandas in terms of survival numbers. And the one before him was clearly a top tier Omega, with every strand of hair radiating attraction. Only someone like him, an Imperial Marshal, was qualified to enjoy such a treasure.
The little wife seemed very nervous, always looking at him with suspicious eyes. Marshal Dior Zhang decided to do something to help him relax his guard.
The black Maybach cruised smoothly along the main road, gradually coming to a stop in front of a dessert shop.
This was a rather famous little shop. The cakes they made were especially delicious, but also extremely expensive. Many girls would save up for several weeks before biting the bullet to treat themselves to one.
Lin Mengmeng was such a girl. As an ordinary office worker, she couldn’t afford to eat such delicious and expensive pastries every day. Sitting at a small table outside the shop, she first took a photo of the cake to post on social media, pairing it with a caption about life’s little joys: “A day without the sun needs a little sweet treat to brighten life up,” then carefully picked up her spoon and began to eat. Suddenly, a wide bodied black luxury car pulled up in front of her. A Maybach!
A girl eating cake in front of a pastry shop, encountering a domineering CEO who got out on a whim to buy sweets. Thus began a tale of deep and torturous love.
Lin Mengmeng watched as the man stepped out of the car. Broad shoulders, long legs, a black suit and sunglasses. The full domineering CEO package!
Unfortunately, this handsome man wasn’t playing the domineering CEO role today, but rather “The Cold Imperial Marshal.”
The girl holding her spoon watched in stunned silence as the domineering CEO walked into the shop, bought an adorable looking cheesecake, bent down, and handed it to another handsome man sitting in the passenger seat.
“Fresh out of the oven, give it a try.” Zhang Chenfei handed the little cake to Jiao Qi considerately opening the packaging for him. In his eyes, this delicate little wife simply didn’t have the strength to open a cake box on his own.
Lin Mengmeng silently raised her phone, snapped a photo of this heartwarming moment, and posted it on social media.
[Stand Up Mengmeng: Holy crap, I was eating cake and saw two gorgeous guys, my mouth is full of dog food!] Attached photo: a man in a sharp suit handing a cake to a handsome young man leaning against the car window.
However, her social media account had very few followers, with only one or two friends and family replying.
“All the good men already have boyfriends, when will I get a boyfriend?”
“Hey, that top guy looks a bit like Zhang Chenfei!”
But Lin Mengmeng’s photo only showed a side profile, making it hard to tell if it was indeed that president from Shifei. She looked up, wanting to take another shot, but the car had already driven away.
Jiao Qi held the cake and took a small bite, then asked tentatively, “What did you mean just now by… Omega?” He couldn’t quite follow the script here.
Zhang Chenfei laughed softly, reaching out to ruffle his little wife’s head. “Don’t be afraid. I know you usually pretend to be a Beta, but I am your husband. I won’t hurt you.”
What?
He understood even less now. There must have been some English words in that sentence. As a returned overseas student, Jiao Qi was doubting for the first time whether the Ivy League school he attended was actually Lanxiang, where he learned to operate excavators.
The CEO brought his little wife to the apartment in the city center, putting his arm around him as they toured the place. “This is our home, where we stay on workdays. It’s filled with my pheromones, which can protect you from being discovered by other Alphas.”
Jiao Qi felt like they weren’t even from the same planet.
To take care of his little wife with the fragile stomach, Zhang Chenfei personally cooked a lavish dinner, coaxing the little thing to eat his fill, then found some soft pajamas for him to wear.
“There’s only one bedroom here.” Zhang Chenfei hugged his little wife, obsessively sniffing at his neck. The sweet pheromones were almost driving him mad, and he couldn’t help but pull him tighter.
Feeling like a big dog constantly blowing air against his neck, Jiao Qi squirmed from the tickling and pushed him away. “Stop…”
Feeling the body in his arms trembling, Zhang Chenfei instantly calmed down. His presence was simply too overwhelming. He must have frightened his adorable little wife. Since he already possessed him, he should treat him well. An Imperial Marshal was a gentleman, and couldn’t behave as crudely as other Alphas.
And so, Mr. Dior, who had forcibly suppressed his impulses, carried his little wife onto the soft big bed, kissed his forehead, tucked a pillow under his arm, and gentlemanly went downstairs to sleep on the sofa.
Jiao Qi lay on the bed, staring blankly at the door as it clicked shut. He tapped his smart device. “Annie, what on earth is he talking about?”
“Please state the keyword you wish to search for, Master.” Annie actually had a male voice. When it was first activated, it needed a custom name, and that guy Zhang Da Diao suddenly leaned over and said “Annie,” on the grounds that Annie and Louis XIII were a pair. From then on, this smart device brother was called Annie.
“Alpha, Omega, and also… Beta?” Jiao Qi tried his best to recall Zhang Da Diao’s pronunciation.
Annie was silent for a moment, then provided the search results.
[Alpha, Omega, Beta. Roman characters, commonly used in mathematics. He may want to discuss advanced calculus with you.]
“…I don’t think that’s what he meant.” He said Omegas could give birth to powerful children. It probably wasn’t some euphemism for calculus algorithms, but literally meant giving birth to children.
Annie’s screen went dark for a moment, displaying a spiral pattern, then reappeared shortly after.
[Searching subculture classification results. It may refer to a type of novel genre. ABO.]
That sounded more plausible! Jiao Qi clicked on the explanation. “Is ABO also a type of CEO novel?”
“No.” Annie dismissed this guess and gave Jiao Qi a quick primer on what ABO was. Simply put, it was a special setting found in fanfiction that had gradually been adopted into original novels in recent years.
ABO consisted of three types of people. Alphas were the strong, the leaders, possessing robust physiques and powerful abilities in every sense. Betas were the ordinary masses. Omegas were a delicate type of people, slender and soft, with powerful reproductive abilities.
Both Alphas and Omegas secreted pheromones, creating a strong attraction to one another. Alpha pheromones conveyed dominance and conquest, while Omega pheromones were mostly sweet enticement.
…
“This setting typically serves the genre of danmei novels.” Annie finally concluded.
“Didn’t Louis XIII download CEO novel recommendations?” Jiao Qi was dumbfounded. What was all this about?
“That’s unclear. He may have downloaded a pirated novel bundle, which mixed in some strange things.” Annie analyzed calmly.
Pirated… novel bundles… are the death of us all.
Jiao Qi felt completely unwell. If it could mix in danmei novels, could there also be Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Dream of the Red Chamber, Harry Potter, and the like? He really didn’t want to wake up one morning to Zhang Da Diao gazing at him lovingly and calling him “Sister Lin.”
“Theoretically, that won’t happen.” Annie offered a rather insincere word of comfort.
The next morning, the little wife whose worldview had been reshaped dragged himself out of bed looking haggard, got dressed, washed up, and habitually sprayed a bit of perfume.
The keen Alpha immediately caught the sweet scent of fresh grass, set down the pancake in his hand, and rushed to his little wife’s side, pulling him tightly into his arms and sniffing him all over in intoxication.
“Releasing such concentrated pheromones first thing in the morning. Are you trying to seduce me?” The CEO, who had spent the entire night as a gentleman, was quite desperate. This tantalizing little creature was testing his willpower, wasn’t he? If he weren’t an Imperial Marshal who had undergone brutal training, this delicate little thing would have long been devoured by him.
The little wife who had unconsciously tempted him replied innocently, “Get lost!”
Seeing that his little wife was somewhat angry, Zhang Chenfei used his brain, which was nearly overflowing with love, to think hard, and suddenly understood. “I get it. You’re approaching your heat cycle, which is why your pheromones are so concentrated.”
Heat… cycle…
“Heat your sister! It’s perfume!” Jiao Qi kicked him, sat down at the dining table, silently recited “he’s sick” three times, and viciously bit into a pancake.
The CEO’s eyes darkened. His little Omega didn’t seem very obedient? Wasn’t he supposed to submit to Alpha pheromone pressure?
“Starting today, you’re not going to work. We’ll talk about it after your heat cycle passes.” Zhang Chenfei sat down across from him and said with a serious expression.
Jiao Qi ignored him.
“I’m not joking. You’ve never been in contact with an Alpha as powerful as me before, so you don’t understand. Once you come into contact with me, you’ll quickly enter your heat cycle. When that happens, your pheromones will attract thousands of Alphas around you. Every single one of them will want to possess you, and they’ll tear you to pieces.” The CEO spoke with heartfelt sincerity.
“Then stay away from me.” Jiao Qi said expressionlessly, stuffing a piece of pancake into Zhang Da Diao’s mouth to signal him to hurry up and eat.
Being fed by his little wife, Zhang Chenfei was in an excellent mood. He smiled dotingly. Fine, if he wanted to go to work, let him go. At worst, he could give him a temporary marking first.
The Maybach drove straight to the entrance of Banana. The security guard had wanted to stop them, but when he saw it was the CEO’s husband’s car, he let them through.
“Why did you drive here!” Jiao Qi, who hadn’t slept well last night, had fallen asleep halfway through the ride. When he opened his eyes, he found the car parked right in front of the company’s revolving glass doors, attracting frequent glances from passing employees.
“It’s too dangerous outside.” Zhang Chenfei said seriously, getting out of the car to open the door for his little wife.
Jiao Qi had just unbuckled his seatbelt when Zhang Chenfei pressed him in for a French kiss.
“Thud!” A Banana employee who had been staring in a daze walked right into the revolving door and hit his head.
Jiao Qi’s face was completely red. It was far too embarrassing in front of the employees. He pushed Zhang Da Diao away and got out of the car, waving his hand to signal him to leave quickly, but was pulled back. He asked with a look of utter despair, “What now?”
Zhang Chenfei tucked a small spray bottle into Jiao Qi’s suit pocket, biting his ear and whispering, “If the temporary marking wears off, spray some inhibitor.”
His deep, magnetic voice made Jiao Qi’s ears turn red. Having a kiss described as a “temporary marking” carried a strange sense of shame. He mumbled a response and quickly walked into the building. Only when he reached the CEO’s private elevator did he curiously pull out the “inhibitor” from his pocket.
A tiny thirty milliliter transparent bottle, filled with a strange green liquid. He sprayed a bit out, and the concentrated scent instantly filled the entire elevator. Genuine, authentic Six God mosquito repellent.
