Old Zhao couldn’t win in a fight and couldn’t run away either. He could only crouch in place like a quail, holding his head. Yunshan and Chen Jiu discussed and decided to restart the sealing formation. The master and disciple would join forces to violently suppress it once. Everything was rearranged properly. Having received instructions from her master and senior sister, Su Xiaoyu covered herself all over with protective talismans and obediently hid behind a high slope not far away. “Little Xuan, Little Xuan, Master and Senior Sister are very busy. I will protect you.” Su Xiaoyu hugged the black cat and stroked its fur. Chen Xiaoxuan made a comfortable purring sound and rubbed its head against Su Xiaoyu’s chin. Before long, the formation restarted. “Heaven and Earth are natural, filthy qi disperses. The mysterious void within the cave, bright and vast…” Yunshan sat cross legged, his hands forming the Tai Chi seal. He closed his eyes and concentrated. The horsetail whisk lay horizontally across his knees. One fingertip pointed toward the yin malice source. Break, army, kill, ghost, god. After a moment, Yunshan’s left hand formed the Five Thunder Seal again. The horsetail whisk began to tremble slightly, moving without wind. Fine golden patterns appeared on the whisk handle. “Taiyi saves the suffering, sweet dew sprinkles purity. Yin returns to yin paths, yang returns to yang roads…” When the night wind rose, Yunshan’s hands pressed down. The horsetail whisk slowly floated up from his knees, suspended in mid air, continuously rotating. His eyes opened wide and he suddenly shouted. “Heaven and Earth unite in harmony, all things thrive and breathe. Malice qi transforms, earth veins return to origin. Go!” The horsetail whisk suddenly accelerated its rotation. In an instant, it sprinkled countless raindrop shaped energy bodies wrapped in golden light, densely interwoven like a heavenly net and earthly web! At the same time, Chen Jiu flew out a black background red character ghost suppressing talisman. Her hands formed seals and pressed down forcefully. “Heaven is the net, Earth is the web. Eight directions are walls, nine palaces are locks. Suppress!” Red lines automatically filled the gaps and intersected with the golden woven net. The master and disciple simultaneously exerted force downward. But they clearly felt a strange power underground resisting them! Yunshan’s brows furrowed tightly. He shouted. “This is the step!” Chen Jiu bit her lip. Her hands once again rapidly formed seals, offering up a second ghost suppressing talisman. The red lines in the net instantly burned like flames, dazzlingly brilliant. But even so, that power showed no sign of retreat. On the contrary, it seemed to be provoked into fighting spirit, eagerly trying to break through the earth. Yunshan gritted his teeth and held on for a while. The more he thought, the more he felt something was wrong. The greater the force they applied, the greater the yin malice’s counterattack. This time the resistance he felt was even stronger than when he had forcibly suppressed it alone just now! Old Zhao at the side saw the two were too occupied to attend to anything else. The evil thoughts in his heart once again sprouted. If he struck at the master and disciple at this moment, what were his chances of winning? He thought secretly, slowly lifting his eyelids, his eyes staring at their backs with ill intent. After persisting for only a short while, Chen Jiu clearly felt she was already somewhat exhausted. If even someone young and strong like herself felt tired, then her master who had experienced this twice in a single day, was he now forcing himself to hold on? “This won’t do.” Chen Jiu frowned and spoke. “Master, this isn’t the way. This thing is even stronger than what we sensed yesterday. Its ability to devour malice qi probably exceeds our imagination!” Yunshan. “I think so too. Let’s withdraw first and plan long term.” The master and disciple discussed and decided to cut losses in time. But when they were withdrawing, they suddenly heard the sound of a sharp blade cutting through wind from behind. Old Zhao still hadn’t given up. This sword stabbed straight at Yunshan’s back heart, showing no mercy. Chen Jiu immediately showed a speechless expression, turned around, and grabbed his wrist. This grab actually rendered Old Zhao completely unable to move. He struggled forcefully several times but was instead twisted by Chen Jiu at the wrist. He screamed in pain. His hand loosened and that copper coin sword fell to the ground with a clang. Old Zhao knelt on the ground, holding his wrist. Now his eyes were swollen, his clothes were torn, and his hand was broken. He was completely disheveled. He apologized to the master and disciple once again, this time very sincerely. He voluntarily offered up his own ancestors for eighteen generations, cursing himself for not being human. Yunshan was helpless. “For the Dao to actually have scum like you, this old man is truly ashamed to be associated with you.” Chen Jiu’s voice was somewhat cold. “Master, this person cannot be kept.” Saying this, she raised the tip of her peach wood sword, pointing at Old Zhao. Actually a peach wood sword had no killing power at all. After all, such an elementary weapon could be used by anyone. Yet when Old Zhao was pointed at by Chen Jiu with this peach wood sword, he immediately felt warm currents in his crotch. A secret fishy smell came from the air. Chen Jiu looked down at the wet ground, her face expressionless as she stepped back two paces. A moment of silence, waiting for Yunshan to speak. However, just as Yunshan let out a long sigh and was about to deliver an important speech as the Yunshan Temple head, a sudden strong wind rose around them. Their clothes and hair danced wildly. The copper coin sword on the ground belonging to Old Zhao shook madly. Then it was as if sucked by something, rapidly dragging toward the yin malice source! At first, only a few fine cracks appeared on the ground at the source. Then the cracks continuously expanded, rushing toward where the few people stood like a spider web! Old Zhao showed shock. He suddenly screamed in terror. As if bound by invisible threads around his throat, he was abruptly dragged into the cracked yin malice source. With a thud, the ground finally erupted with surging black mist, as if accumulated for millions of years, finally able to see the light of day again at this moment! The master and disciple saw the situation was dire. They simultaneously offered up their ritual instruments and flew to mid air, looking down at what was happening on the ground. Chen Jiu followed with her gaze for a few seconds, shouted that something was wrong, and quickly turned her sword tip to fly toward Su Xiaoyu’s hiding place. Fortunately, both the child and the cat were fine. Yunshan’s expression was extremely ugly. He had expected to take over a mess, but never expected such a huge mess! Chen Jiu found a relatively safe place and set down the two small ones, drawing a circle on the ground. “This circle is a barrier. Don’t run out randomly.” She said solemnly to Su Xiaoyu. Su Xiaoyu nodded and said loudly. “Senior sister, please rest assured. I will protect Little Xuan!” As soon as she finished speaking, Chen Jiu flew away with a swoosh. At this time, countless vengeful souls rushed out from the valley. Yunshan timely set down a huge barrier, barely containing them within. For the moment, no worse disasters occurred. But this enormous barrier consumed a great deal of magical power. Before he exhausted his strength, he had to find a way to clear away these countless yin malice! But relying solely on Chen Jiu to fight and kill alone was too unrealistic. The situation was urgent. Yunshan had no time to review why the yin malice suddenly went berserk and dragged Old Zhao down into the abyss. He shouted to the flying Chen Jiu. “Little Jiu! Quickly call for reinforcements!” Chen Jiu took out her phone and flew over with a swoosh, the screen almost thrust before his eyes. The signal had actually cut off at this moment! Yunshan. “…” Chen Jiu put away her phone and looked up at the night sky. The moon was yellow and murky, as if covered by a layer of frosted glass. The sky faintly glowed red. Thunderstorm clouds were approaching! “Perhaps there’s still hope.” Chen Jiu said. “Master, hold on! I’ll go down and investigate!” Without waiting for Yunshan’s reaction, she dove straight down toward the yin malice source, plunging into the thick black mist. In just a moment, golden light suddenly exploded within the darkness. The energy collision produced a huge sound. Ripples spread out layer by layer. Inhuman wailing tore through the air, briefly scaring back the yin malice that was still continuously rushing out! Yunshan worriedly closed his eyes for a moment. Chen Jiu had opened with a big move. The consumption was too great. Although her talent was high, her mental energy limit was still within the normal human range. How many times could she endure the consumption of the ghost slaying incantation in one night? Before he could even finish sighing, the ghost slaying incantation exploded a second time. Chen Jiu burst out from the black mist, already injured. Yunshan was shocked, then angry. “Little Jiu! Are you trying to get yourself killed!” Chen Jiu wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth. Her expression even looked somewhat exhilarated. She struck out another sword with a reverse hand. The blade crashed toward the yin malice on the ground that hadn’t had time to dodge. The black mist turned to dust. The shrieking pierced the ears! “Master, all these years our Yunshan Temple has had an empty reputation. Actually anyone dares to ride over us. We’ve lived too constrained.” Chen Jiu gripped her sword and took a deep breath, seeming to quite enjoy the moisture brought by the night wind. “If today we beat this century old yin malice into scattered souls, would we still have to endure that bird qi?!” Yunshan saw a trace of strange red light reflected in her pupils. He thought something was wrong. But before he could speak out to stop her, Chen Jiu once again dove into the black mist! A muffled thunder suddenly rolled across the sky, illuminating half the valley. Yunshan suddenly felt his heart pounding wildly. An ominous premonition filled his heart. “Master!” Amid the chaotic roars, Yunshan thought he was hallucinating. Listening more carefully, he recognized whose voice it was. “Fourth?!” He followed the sound. His Taoist robe fluttered in the fierce wind. A figure burst through layers of black mist, struggling to fly before him. The man was in his early thirties with a simple and honest appearance. Beneath his feet was an ancient black sword. It was the fourth disciple, Chen Ge. Master and disciple hadn’t seen each other for half a month. Yunshan was somewhat excited for a moment. “How did you get here?!” The patriarch above, if not for his fourth disciple’s pure filial piety, how could he have come up the mountain in the middle of the night to deliver things to him? Fortunately, he discovered his master was in danger! “Now is not the time to talk… like this, adding you alone won’t help. You should quickly turn back and bring more reinforcements!” Yunshan shouted. “Since Master has already come with an abnormal mental state, this is probably her first destined tribulation.” Chen Ge drew out his lifebound ritual instrument and flew toward the ground. “I’ll go help Junior Sister.” He sensed and looked back. Several more figures were vaguely flying over from the distance. The girl flying at the front nodded calmly and only said. “Master, long time no see.” Then she offered up a Crimson Phoenix Cry Sword. The sword body flowed with red light, flames flowing like molten lava. A clear and bright cry faintly came from the air, like a phoenix shaking off its tail feathers, following its master into the yin malice!
