The Second Young Master’s Obedient Husband : Chapter 14

The window paper had just turned a grayish white when Liang Yu woke.

The person in his arms was still asleep, his face buried in the hollow of his neck, warm and soft, making one reluctant to let go.

Liang Yu looked down for a while, the pad of his thumb gently rubbing that fertility mole.

Su Qingyu moved, mumbled something, and shrank further into his embrace.

Liang Yu gently withdrew his arm, lifted the quilt, got out of bed and dressed, walked to the drying rack, and reached out to touch those garments.

The charcoal fire had baked them all night, and the garments were thoroughly dry, still carrying some warmth. He took them down and folded them one by one, placing them at the bedside. Then he rummaged in the cabinet and pulled out a few things. Rabbit fur boots, newly made, stuffed with a thick layer of rabbit down inside, very soft. He had originally wanted to find an excuse to send them over, but had never found the opportunity.

In another bundle were things for his mother. The garments were made large, a padded jacket and padded trousers, thick enough. No matter whether tall or short, fat or thin, they could be worn, and it would not show from the outside.

Liang Yu placed these two bundles into the basket, then went to the kitchen to wash up and prepare food.

When Su Qingyu woke, the room had grown somewhat dimmer, the charcoal fire glowing dim and yellow, and he knew not how much time had passed.

His body moved, and a strange sensation came from that place, swollen and sore, reminding him of what had just occurred.

The space beside him was empty, but the cushion still retained residual warmth.

A faint sound came from the outer room. Su Qingyu propped himself up, and Liang Yu’s undergarment slipped from his shoulder, revealing half of a white and tender shoulder. He hurriedly pulled it up to cover himself, and was about to speak when the door curtain was lifted.

Su Qingyu raised his head to look at the person entering. “Second Brother Liang…” His voice was light and soft, carrying a hoarseness from just waking, “what hour is it?”

Liang Yu carried in a tray and set it on the small table beside the couch. A bowl of polished rice porridge, a dish of pickled vegetables, two white flour steamed buns, and a dish of sliced cured pork, glistening with oil, fragrant and appetizing.

“It is almost the Mao hour.” Liang Yu replied, arranging the food one by one on the small table.

Su Qingyu looked at those foods, his throat moving.

Liang Yu brought warm water, and also took out a tooth brush and tooth powder for Su Qingyu to wash up. After washing up, he went outside to pour out the dirty water and returned.

After washing up, Su Qingyu’s mind finally cleared, and he somewhat embarrassedly buried his face.

Liang Yu sat down opposite him and pushed the dish of cured pork toward him: “Eat.”

Su Qingyu picked up the porridge and drank a mouthful. It was warm, just right for the mouth. He ate half a small bowl with the pickled vegetables, then ate half a steamed bun, and also ate several slices of that cured pork.

Liang Yu watched him eat, saying nothing, only his eyes carrying a few traces of satisfaction. When Su Qingyu set down his bowl, he spoke: “Full?”

Su Qingyu nodded.

Liang Yu looked at the very obedient young man, his wet and soft lips, his prominent Adam’s apple moving, and pulled him into his embrace, lowering his head to kiss his lips. Su Qingyu opened a small crack, and Liang Yu’s tongue tip probed in.

Su Qingyu’s breathing was completely disordered, his hand gripping Liang Yu’s sleeve, gripping until his knuckles turned white.

When the tongues separated, a fine silver thread stretched between them.

Su Qingyu panted, his eyes moist, looking at Liang Yu. His lips were bright red, open as he breathed, revealing a bit of shell white teeth and tongue tip.

Liang Yu’s thumb rubbed across Su Qingyu’s lips, the skin beneath his finger pad burning astonishingly hot.

“Second Brother Liang…” Su Qingyu’s voice was light and soft, carrying a tremble, his eyelashes lowered.

Morning light filtered into the room, bringing some brightness. Su Qingyu was so shy he kept his eyes lowered, and only then noticed that Liang Yu was again… that thing he had not clearly seen last night, its outline appearing especially fierce in the morning light.

Su Qingyu’s earlobes grew even hotter, and he buried himself in the hollow of Liang Yu’s neck, refusing to lift his head.

A low laugh escaped from Liang Yu’s throat, and he stroked Su Qingyu’s back stroke by stroke, as if soothing a startled kitten.

Su Qingyu said nothing more, his somewhat rapid breathing spraying against the side of Liang Yu’s neck.

After a while, Su Qingyu slowly relaxed, and a muffled voice came from the hollow of his neck: “Second Brother Liang…”

“Mm?”

“You… have you slept with others?”

Liang Yu raised an eyebrow and looked down at him. Su Qingyu still had his face buried, only revealing a bit of his thoroughly red ear tip.

“No.”

Su Qingyu said nothing.

Liang Yu’s finger wound around a strand of his hair, wound it once, then let it go.

“You are the first.”

Su Qingyu’s ear tips grew even redder, so red they seemed about to drip blood. Buried in the hollow of his neck, after quite a while, he let out a muffled sound of acknowledgment.

Liang Yu held him tenderly for a while, then finally released him, got up to collect the bowls and dishes, and carried them out. When he came back in, he was carrying a large basket in his hand, which he set on the ground, full to bursting.

Su Qingyu looked over, and Liang Yu handed him a large cloth bag. Su Qingyu opened it and looked inside. It was gleaming white silver, at least twenty taels. The basket was packed full, with several bolts of cotton cloth stacked at the bottom, and on top of the cloth were bundles of cured pork, dried pheasant, and several oil paper packages whose contents he could not tell. At the very top were folded cotton padded garments.

Liang Yu squatted down, pulled a small box from his chest, and inside was a silver hairpin, of a plain and simple style, with a small pearl set at the top.

“This is for you.” Liang Yu handed over the hairpin.

Su Qingyu took that hairpin, his fingertips caressing that pearl, smooth and lustrous. He raised his head to look at Liang Yu, and in those eyes reflected the light of the charcoal fire, and his eye rims reddened again.

“Second Brother Liang, this is too much…” His voice was somewhat choked.

Liang Yu let out a scoffing laugh: “Too much what? If it’s given to you, take it.”

Su Qingyu looked at that large basket of things, and lightly nodded.

Liang Yu looked at his appearance, reached out and pinched his face. That face now had flesh, and pinching it was soft.

“Alright, don’t look like that.” Liang Yu withdrew his hand, “the sky is almost bright, I’ll have someone send you back.”

Su Qingyu nodded, got up to change his garments. Liang Yu handed over the clothes from beside him, warmed by the charcoal fire, carrying a warm heat. There was also a thick padded jacket, Liang Yu’s own, dark gray, reaching past the knees.

“It’s cold outside, yours is short and doesn’t block the wind, wear this.” Liang Yu said.

Su Qingyu changed his clothes and put on that thick padded jacket. The jacket was large, wrapping his whole person inside, only revealing that face. Liang Yu looked at him, and the smile in his eyes deepened.

“Like a ball.” His mouth was still poisonous, but his tone was soft.

Su Qingyu put on his clothes and got down from the bed, his tender white toes curling, the backs of his feet still carrying several red marks, showing that last night he had indeed suffered greatly.

Liang Yu handed over those rabbit fur boots.

“Wear these.”

Su Qingyu froze, looked at those shoes, then raised his head to look at Liang Yu, his eye rims reddening.

Liang Yu squatted down, grasped his ankle, first put on his foot socks for him, then put on the rabbit fur boots. The size was just right, neither too large nor too small, warming Su Qingyu’s tender white feet.

After putting on the shoes, Liang Yu pressed him against the edge of the couch again, kissing him lingeringly. Su Qingyu was kissed until his body went soft, his arms around Liang Yu’s neck, responding to his kiss, the corner of his eye flushed crimson.

After who knew how long, Liang Yu finally released him, his forehead pressed against his forehead, panting.

“Go back and take good care of yourself.” His voice was hoarse.

Su Qingyu lowered his eyes and nodded.

Liang Yu’s gaze fell on his collar, and he suddenly reached his hand in. Su Qingyu froze for a moment, not yet reacting, when that close fitting undergarment he wore was pulled out.

“I’ll keep this.” Liang Yu stuffed that undergarment into his chest, the corner of his mouth pulling into a slight curve, “consider it a token.”

Su Qingyu’s earlobes instantly burned, standing there at a loss, wanting to say something yet not knowing what to say, looking at him with wide eyes, his appearance terribly pitiful.

Liang Yu’s heart softened at the sight, reached out and rubbed the top of his head, then turned and walked out: “Shuanzi is waiting outside, go.”

Su Qingyu followed him out.

In the courtyard stood the ox cart, and Shuanzi sat on the shaft, grinning when he saw him. Liang Yu moved that large basket of things onto the cart, then helped him climb aboard. That large padded jacket wrapped him tightly, only revealing that face.

“Go.” Liang Yu patted the ox’s neck.

The ox cart creaked forward, rolling over the accumulated snow. Su Qingyu looked back. Liang Yu was still standing at the courtyard gate, his expression impossible to make out in the dim light, only that figure, tall and large, bringing one a full sense of security.
