Special 3: The tiger has lost its stripes
After the wedding, Mangkon officially transferred to the Chiang Mai City Police Station. Initially, the small man thought he would finish up his work in Chiang Rai so he wouldn’t have anything unfinished, But what could he do? His love-crazed husband wouldn’t allow it. Less than three days apart and he hastened to see him, bringing up a thousand and one reasons to get him moved to Chiang Mai soon.
Reason number one: I can’t stand not seeing Mangkon’s face every day.
Reason number two: If I can’t go to Chiang Rai any week, won’t I die of a broken heart? Reason number three: I want to hug Mangkon. I can’t take it.
Who would have thought the usually imposing Inspector could be so clingy and whiny sometimes? Who would have thought that Thian at thirty-four would have a wife and love and cherish him more than anyone?
“Can P go out with Kanin and the guys tonight?” “Sure, Mangkon didn’t forbid it at all.”
“Okay, my wife allows it. I’ll be back before midnight,” Thian replied with a charming smile before reaching out to lightly touch his smooth cheek.
“Don’t go flirting with any girls out there.” “Definitely not.”
I used to be a flirt, but now I know when to stop.
“Mangkon trusts P’Thian.” Because ever since they got married, there hasn’t been any man or woman causing any trouble.
“Then I’ll go ahead. I’ll report every step of the way.” “You don’t have to go that far.”

The posh restaurant in the Nimmanhaemin area was filled with lively music. Thian, dressed in simple but stylish casual clothes, sat at the table with his friends, laughing and chatting, but even so, the charming Inspector couldn’t stop thinking about someone at home.
“Thian, you’ve changed since you got married. Before, girls were all over you.” “You should try getting married, Kanin.”
“Ask Phu; he’s just as happy as I am.” That guy is just as love-crazed.
“Sorry, I want to be single forever.” Because when you’re single, you can do anything. “So, with you, women or men are good?”
“Not exactly. I still prefer women more.” “What about Nadol?”
“Can we not talk about it? I told you there’s nothing going on.” “Whatever.”
He couldn’t interfere in his friends’ affairs. Thian returned his focus to the glass of alcohol in front of him. If it were before, a heavy drinker like him would have already been feeling a buzz. But now, not even half the glass was gone.
Before long, a group of girls sitting at a nearby table began to give Thian glances. His handsome face easily attracted attention. One of them, holding a glass of wine, walked over to him.
“Excuse me, can I toast with you?”
Thian smiled politely before holding up his hand to show the ring on his left ring finger. “I’m sorry, I’m married.”
Kanin narrowed his eyes slightly, never having dreamed of seeing Thian act this way. His words were clear, and the ring made the girl retreat in embarrassment. But what he did afterward earned him another round of teasing from his friends. Thian picked up his phone to check Line and call the love of his life.
“Why doesn’t he answer?” He mumbled to himself when the other end didn’t pick up. He called again, but there was still no answer.
“What is it? Instead of your wife calling you, you’re the one calling your wife?” “So what? I miss my wife.”
“If you miss him, why did you even come out? What a weirdo.” “If I didn’t come, you guys would say I’m obsessed with my wife.”
Thian placed his phone near him, thinking that his wife would have to call back eventually. But thirty minutes passed without any notifications. Worry began to increase. Even though he told himself that nothing was wrong, his thick fingers reached to check Line again. The screen showed the status: “Not yet read.”
“Is Mangkon angry perhaps?” He mumbled again, trying to remember if he had done anything wrong before deciding to call again.
“No answer.”
Normally, his wife wasn’t a jealous person. He was the one who liked to be jealous and possessive about things that weren’t even worth it. But why did he feel so worried this time?
If he was going to be mad, he shouldn’t have let him come out, right? Sigh.
A sigh escaped his lips. Concern began to build in his heart. The investigation inspector no longer felt like having fun. The later it got, the more he thought. Thian decided to get up from the table, ignoring his friends’ calls.
“Hey, Thian, where are you going?” “Going home. To find my wife.”
Just a few words, but they understood everything. He didn’t care if he got teased for being afraid of his wife or whatever after this. Screw it. He really *was* afraid.
The expensive car took only ten minutes on the road. Throughout the ride, anxiety ran through him in waves. And as soon as the car came to a stop in the garage, his long legs didn’t hesitate to stride straight into the bedroom.
The door was opened, and the image that met his keen eyes was Mangkon sleeping soundly in bed. The phone was placed beside him, with a notification of a missed call.
“So, he’s just sleeping.” “I must be going crazy.”
A soft laugh at his own ridiculous actions escaped his lips. Mangkon was at home, not running away somewhere—but the worry made a small thing seem like it was going to turn into a big thing.
The husband leaned slowly onto the wide bed. Strong arms wrapped around the slender waist of his sleeping wife, pulling him closer. The little one’s breaths were steady and rhythmic. His face, buried in the bolster pillow, was slightly uncovered, revealing his beautifully arranged eyelashes. Thian smiled faintly, his keen eyes gazing at the person in his arms with an indescribable feeling – both reassured and content.
His large hand gently stroked the soft hair, as if afraid of waking him. “I love you, Mangkon.”
“Mmm…”
As soon as he finished speaking, his prominent nose touched his smooth cheek. But as for the villain who stole the kiss, he was caught. Mangkon moved slightly in his embrace. The eyelashes that had been closed fluttered slowly before his round eyes narrowed sleepily. His sweet, gentle face looked up. His thin lips opened to speak softly.
“When did you get back, P’Thian?”
“Just now. You were sleeping so soundly, I didn’t want to wake you.”
“I called you, but you didn’t answer. I was going to sulk,” Thian teased softly. His thick hand reached up to tap the tip of the other’s prominent nose playfully.
“Sorry… Mangkon is sorry.”
“You didn’t have to rush back,” a muffled voice spoke from his throat. Slender hands reached up to rub his eyes lightly, looking so adorable that Thian couldn’t help but bend down and kiss his forehead once.
“I’m not angry, just worried about you.”
“Worried about what? Mangkon was just at home,”
“I just missed you, wanted to hear your voice, wanted to know what you were doing.”
‘Is this guy trying to make me blush from the minute I wake up?’ The direct words silenced the sleepy one. A faint blush began to rise on his smooth face. His round eyes avoided the keen gaze that looked at him lovingly.
“I’m sleepy,” the younger one replied, cutting him off before burying his face into the strong chest of his husband.
“Okay. Let’s sleep then. I’ll keep you in my arms like this.”
“How far are you going to take this, P’Thian, with the crazy love?” “Until Mangkon doesn’t want it anymore, how about that?”
“No. Mangkon wants it forever.”
The love he received from his, Mangkon was aware of every day. This man had never disappointed or saddened him even once. There was only good things and concern that he wanted to give. He also promised himself that he would do his best to be a good wife.
“So, should we go to sleep then?”
Warm breath brushed against his cheek. The wife didn’t answer with anything other than a slight nod, allowing himself to sink into his dream again.
Tonight was another night that Thian was reminded that nothing was more important than the person in his arms. The end has come for the wily and cunning rogue. Now he has become a fully tamed tiger.
