The Second Young Master’s Obedient Husband : Chapter 33
After the beans were planted, the work in the fields lightened. Su Qingyu went to check on them every day, pulled some weeds, and spent the rest of his time feeding the chickens, cooking, and chatting with Mother Su.
Mother Su’s health grew better day by day. She walked around the courtyard every day, and occasionally even did some needlework. Su Qingyu urged her to rest, but Mother Su always said if she didn’t move around her bones would stiffen.
The weather grew warmer day by day. The snow on the mountains melted clean, and tender green buds appeared on the treetops. One day Liang Yu came and said he was going into the mountains for some days, and asked if he wanted to come along to learn the way.
“There’s a wooden house in the mountains, people can live there.” Liang Yu said. “We’ll stay a few days then come back.”
Su Qingyu looked back at the room. Mother Su’s spirits were better now, she could take care of herself. So he nodded.
The next morning, the two of them went up the mountain.
The mountain path was hard to walk, winding and curving, full of loose stones. Liang Yu walked in front, turning back from time to time to pull him along. After walking for about half an hour, they reached the place.
The wooden house was built on a flat area halfway up the mountain, surrounded by a tall courtyard wall made of thick wooden posts, very sturdy. Pushing open the courtyard gate, the inside was kept neat and tidy. Three main rooms, two side rooms, and a small vegetable patch in the corner of the courtyard, the vegetables growing well.
Liang Yu pushed open the main room door, the light inside was bright. A large bed was placed against the wall, made up thickly. Underneath was old cotton padding, on top was spread brand new bedding, blue with white flowers in coarse cloth, the cotton stuffed until it was puffy and full. By the window was a wooden table, two chairs, and a wardrobe standing in the corner, all made of good wood, very sturdy.
“See if anything is missing.” Liang Yu leaned against the door frame, his tone lazy.
Su Qingyu walked in, touched that new bedding. He turned to look at him. “When was this built?”
“Last winter.” Liang Yu walked over, sat on the edge of the bed. “When hunting I often stay overnight in the mountains, building a house is convenient.”
Su Qingyu nodded, sat down by the table. The mountain scenery outside the window came into view, layer upon layer of green, bird calls crisp and clear, very pleasant to hear.
Liang Yu stood up, took out a bundle from the cabinet, and placed it on the table to unwrap. Scented cream, tooth powder, a new brush, and a small box, rouge, bright red, very vivid… all things Liang Yu had bought for Su Qingyu last time. He didn’t know when, but Liang Yu had gone to buy another set.
Su Qingyu froze for a moment.
Liang Yu then pulled out several porcelain bottles from under the bundle. The bottles were small, sealed shut, with labels on top bearing some characters that Su Qingyu couldn’t read.
“What is this?”
Liang Yu looked at him, his eyes carrying some deeper meaning, the corner of his lips curving up, smiling somewhat wickedly. “Things for use.”
Su Qingyu didn’t understand, only looked at those several porcelain bottles, then looked at those scented creams and rouges, inexplicably feeling his face grow hot.
Liang Yu stood up, and closed the door. The room grew somewhat dark, only light from outside the window filtering in, hazy and indistinct, warm and intimate.
“It’s quiet on the mountain.” Liang Yu walked back. “No one comes, no need to hold back.”
Su Qingyu raised his head, meeting those eyes. Something burned in them, dark and deep, shining startlingly bright.
Liang Yu reached out to cup Su Qingyu’s face, his fingertip rubbing across Su Qingyu’s lower lip. That touch was rough, carrying thin calluses, rubbing against the lip until it tingled, burning so hot that Su Qingyu couldn’t help trembling.
“Afraid?”
Su Qingyu shook his head.
Liang Yu leaned down, lifted him from the chair, and walked toward the bed. When placed on the bed, that new bedding was so soft it sank a person in. Su Qingyu was completely buried in it, looking up with an obedient little face at Liang Yu.
Liang Yu leaned down over him.
That body had been nourished for some days, fuller than in winter, fine white and soft and smooth, gleaming with a moist luster in the light from outside the window. All of Su Qingyu was laid bare before Liang Yu without reservation, burning until Liang Yu’s eyes went red.
Su Qingyu was stared at until he was unbearably shy, his body curling up slightly, turning his head to expose that section of fine white neck, both hands gripping the bedding beneath him tightly, gripping until his knuckles went white.
Liang Yu picked up a porcelain bottle and opened it. Inside was transparent grease, carrying a faint herbal fragrance. He scooped some out, letting it melt on his fingertips.
…
Su Qingyu’s whole body trembled.
That grease was cool and slippery, burning from the inside out, burning until his whole body went soft. Su Qingyu bit his lip, swallowing back that whimper, but the tears at the corners of his eyes couldn’t stop seeping out.
“Don’t bite.” Liang Yu’s lips pressed against his, his tongue prying open his lips. “Make sounds, I love to hear them.”
Su Qingyu then loosened his teeth, and the whimper spilled out, echoing in the room.
Liang Yu could no longer hold back, and covered him with his body.
Fine, broken sounds rose in the room, the bed frame gently swaying, the bedding rubbed into disarray. Su Qingyu’s voice came in fits and starts, sometimes whimpers, sometimes soft moans, finally melting into soft, shapeless murmurs, calling Liang Yu’s name.
All that had been held back and restrained, in the deep mountains was poured out without reservation.
Outside the window, bird calls were crisp and clear, mountain wind blew past, leaves rustling. Inside the room, there were only the two people’s panting, and those fine, broken sounds, continuing for a long time.
From when the sun tilted west to when the sun set, from when the sun set to when the moon reached the middle of the sky. An oil lamp was lit inside the room, dim yellow light reflecting the two entangled figures, reflecting the bedding rubbed into disarray, reflecting that face flushed with damp heat.
When the last round ended, Su Qingyu couldn’t even move his fingers anymore, only curled up in Liang Yu’s arms, breathing heavily. Their bodies tangled together, making one’s bones go soft.
Liang Yu held him, his lips pressed against his forehead, pecking at the little person in his arms again and again, his heart unspeakably satisfied.
“Does it hurt?”
Su Qingyu shook his head, buried his face in the hollow of his neck, and said muffledly. “Sore.”
Liang Yu gave a low laugh, coaxing him. “The first time using that, it will be somewhat sore.”
Liang Yu’s hand gently rubbed his back. “It’ll be fine tomorrow.”
Su Qingyu didn’t speak, only shrank further into his arms.
The oil lamp in the room was still lit, dim yellow light reflecting the two figures holding each other, reflecting that room of quiet stillness.
