The Disliked Shou and the Charming Gong

Pairing: Wen Junhe (Gong) x He Ning (Shou)

The Shou’s father was a high-ranking official, so everyone fawned over the Shou. Under his father’s doting care, he grew up to be increasingly spoiled and arrogant.

The Shou fell in love at first sight with the Gong, who was like an unattainable “flower on a high peak” standing on the lecture podium. Because of the way he was treated, the Shou always believed it was simply because the Gong didn’t like him. However, there were many misunderstandings between them: the Shou’s lackey went behind his back to threaten the Gong’s aunt (who was like a mother to the Gong), and the Gong had a persistent suitor who kept stirring up trouble. Because of these twists of fate, the two constantly missed their chance.

Later, the Shou’s father fell from power. The Shou was targeted, harmed, and even pushed down the stairs, causing his physical and mental condition to rapidly deteriorate. Seeing no way out, the Shou proposed a breakup.

In reality, the Gong was just being stubborn and refused to admit his true feelings. He had already found a place abroad and fully intended to take the Shou with him. After the Shou initiated the breakup, both of them secretly stayed behind, quietly waiting for each other to come back.
